@jon-nyc said in Meanwhile in Illinois...: Telling the electorate what they want to hear then doing the opposite because that’s what the donors want has never happened before? As far as this issue, things may have changed a mite.

I doubt he does. Really, this is one the media has only ever distorted so people genuinely believe he was saying there were nice people among the tiki wielding demonstrators.

@jon-nyc said in Unleash the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels!: Yes but if the blue angels practice social distancing with their planes the shows won’t be nearly as exciting. LOL good point. They’re known for flying within 6 inches of each other or something... BAD EXAMPLE FOR T3H KIDS.

@jon-nyc said in 4 weeks earlier than thought.: @George-K What is the ‘everyone knew’ narrative and how does this blow it up? I think this speaks to the "Trump was to slow to act" political narrative. Combine this with Fauci's statements about cruise ships, etc. and it's pretty evident we weren't quite as asleep at the wheel as some pols would make it. The response has not been stellar in some ways, in other ways it has. Most has been ok, when you consider what government is and how it moves.

So, I guess the argument 'this virus is less dangerous than every day road travel' has been abandoned.

Currently, our office building is partially leased to a health-care clinic - we own the building, but it's shared with a medical group. I can see that being considered a little less attractive as a business arrangement than it once was.

Sweden: Not so fast... The Swedish Public Health Agency made international headlines yesterday by estimating that one-third of Stockholm residents would be infected with the coronavirus by May 1. Less than 24 hours later, the Agency has taken a dramatic u-turn and withdrawn the report. The decision was announced via Twitter: "We have discovered an error in the report and so the authors are currently going through the material again. We will republish the report as soon as it is ready."
